PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

Our talented Newsletter Editor, Amanda Fults, is on vacation and cannot do the Newsletter this month. So, you have me instead.  Sorry, no color or fancy graphics.

HOLIDAY PRE-PARTY

Singh has kindly offered his home for a pre-party get-together.  Bring your own wine, soft drinks, etc.  He will provide some hors d’oeuvres and you can bring some if too, if you wish.  5PM-6PM.  (Party at The Tustin Golf Club starts at 6PM.) Let Singh know if are going. (He lives just across the road from the Golf Course.)

The original cost of this party was $45 per person but it has been subsided by a generous donor and partly by the club.   We do have a limit so get your money in now.

BALL MACHINE

Rose has offered to get the ball machine out some mornings at 7:30AM.  If you would like to use it, she would need to know the day before.

WHAT IS THE RULE?

Last week, 4 members were on the court ready to play when one of them decided he would prefer to play on another court. He left, leaving 3 players!

The rule:  You have the right to decide not to play as long as the match has not started.  However, you will forfeit your turn and go to the back of the line.

In this case, the 3 players would stay on the court. Any other people waiting would roll the ball for the 4th place.  The person who left would be at the end of the line.

It does appear to be quite rude to do this if you have 4 people already standing on the court ready to play.  Let’s hope this doesn’t happen too often.  Decide if you want to play or not before you go on the court.

WALKING CLUB

Tuesday, Nov.12 – Club walk in Shady Canyon.  5 ½ miles lead my Tony Toth . We will try and arrange a walk every other week.  Suggestions for walks are welcome.

SHADOW MOUNTAIN

I will be looking into a tennis weekend at this beautiful resort.
